
Dee Dee Ricks

Dee Dee Ricks is Co-Founder of RBG Talent and founder of Ricks Consulting Group, Inc., established in 1994, advising hedge funds, asset managers, and family offices on strategy and talent acquisition. She was instrumental in guiding leading firms like D.E. Shaw through growth, market positioning, and top talent onboarding. Ricks developed the proprietary POPM model, pioneering innovative deal structures with “netting risk."

An accomplished speaker and advocate, she has delivered over 100 keynote addresses on healthcare access, social equality, and entrepreneurship, following her HBO documentary The Education of Dee Dee Ricks (2011), inspired by her breast cancer journey.
​
She is also Founder and Chair of the NextGEN AAA Foundation, raising over $1.2M and granting scholarships to 500+ diverse student-athletes. Her leadership extends across multiple nonprofit boards, including Susan G. Komen, START Treatment & Recovery Centers, and The Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute.

Her work has been recognized with awards such as the Ernst & Young National Young Entrepreneur of the Year Finalist, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons Patients of Courage Award, and induction into the University of Florida Hall of Fame (2016). She was also a member of Harvard University’s Global Task Force on Expanded Access to Cancer Care.

Beyond business and philanthropy, Ricks enjoys pickleball, pilates, art, and cheering on her three sons in college hockey. She resides in Puerto Rico and New York.
